Medaillen

Die Medaillen für die Olympischen Spielen in Vancouver wur­den gezeich­net von Corrine Hut. Corrine Hut ist eine „ First Nation“ Frau aus Britischkolumbien. Für die Medaillen zeich­ne­te Sie ein gros­ses Bild. Aus die­sem Bild wur­den dann die 615 Medaillen aus­ge­stanzt. Die Idee von Frau Hut ist, dass alle Athleten gleich sind und nur alle Medaillen von allen Athleten zusam­men erge­ben das gan­ze Bild. Weiter sind die Medaillen gewellt, als Symbol der Berge die Vancouver umge­ben.

They cut all 615 medals from this big dra­wing. It is the idea from Corrine Hut, that all per­for­mers are equal and only all medals com­bi­ned show the howl dra­wing. The medals are waved as a sym­bol for the moun­ta­ins around Vancouver.
